mystery shoes revisted
October 8, 2009
It was a long wait, but it was totally worth it! Those shoes I was admiring (see this post) … well the entire wedding is almost exactly like what i’ve been picturing in my head as our “big picture”. It’s very hard to not repost the original in its entirety from Once Wed, so here are only a couple of my favorites. I urge you to check out the rest – it’s beautiful.
oh – and the shoes are from JCrew (of course! haha)

I found these tablescapes (designed by Courtney at Flush Designs) while making the rounds of my favorite blogs. Using Frida Kahlo as the inspiration, she created this:
It’s very refreshing in that it is not your-every-day-Latin type of decor. I especially like the napkin holders which are made out of corn husks and raffia.

I saw this wedding on Portland Bride & Groom and fell in love with this couple’s theme: 1930s Mexico (originally inspired by the bride’s dress). (photos by Aisha Harley)
I really like the combination of the lace, the rust colored runner and the wood. It feels very deconstructed to me. Un-fussy and beautiful.
The flowers were selected for their earth-tones.
